Kenneth C. Anderson, 76, of Sioux City, died Friday, March 20, 1998, at his home.

Funeral Mass was at 1 p.m. Monday, March 23, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Robert J. Schimmer officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born June 26, 1921, in Hawarden, the son of Carl and Cora (Munsen) Anderson. He was raised in Hawarden and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Iris I. Witck on Feb. 18, 1943, in New York. He owned and operated Anderson Brothers House Moving and Construction Co. in Hawarden prior to moving to Sioux City in 1969. He was employed as the construction supervisor for IBP, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Naval Minewarfare Association.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, Kenton and Marti, of Sioux City, and Michael and Janine, of Atlanta; four daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Mitch Ayres, of Lincoln, NE, Marla and Michael Desy, Kerry and Steve Case, and Tammie and Ron Wendel, all of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren, Lisa, Stephanie, Chris, Jenni, Sandy, Jim, Jeff, Miki, Jason, Joshua, Veronica, Tasha and Mary Lou; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Schumaker, of Hawarden; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers' and a sister.
Pallbearers were Jeff Anderson, Chris Anderson, Jody Anderson, Joshua Case, Jason Anderson, and Jason Case.
