Miss Cornelia Spearman died at her home in Iberia February 11th following a brief illness of pneumonia. She was born at the old Spearman home 6 miles west of Iberia December 27, 1858, being 63 years of age at the time of her death. She was the youngest of a family of fourteen-7 sons and 7 daughters, all having preceded her.
She graduated from the Miller County Institute at Spring Garden, June 6, 1889, and taught school in Miller and Camden counties for 25 years.
She was a good woman and was known throughout the south part of Miller County as an earnest and consecrated member of the Christian Church. She was a source of great strength to the Iberia congregation and her influence for good in the community will be greatly missed.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday morning at the Christian Church by the pastor, Eld. E.B. Woods, in a very impressive manner and interment was made at the Wright Graveyard.
