David "Daisy" Heightchew, age 68 of New Castle, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Baptist Health, LaGrange. Daisy was a US Army Veteran. He retired from Ford Motor Company and was a farmer through most of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Calhoun Heightchew and his brother, Dennie Heightchew.

Survived by: Wife: Sondra (Marlow) Heightchew of New Castle; Sons: Mark Heightchew (Regina) of New Castle; David M. Heightchew of Eminence; Mother: Frankie (Roberts) Heightchew of New Castle; Grandchildren: Keely Parks (Josh) of Campbellsburg, Nicolas Heightchew of New Castle.

Visitation: 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 1 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Andy Murray, pastor of Sulphur United Methodist Church and assisted by Rev. Nick Coleman of Sulphur. Interment: Sulphur Cemetery.
