Brenda Jo (Haldorson) Miner died peacefully with her family at her side on June 5, 2013 at Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia. She was 55 years old. She fought a short battle with a very aggressive and rare form of cancer.
Her life was her children, her grandchildren, and children in general. Her favorite jobs were as a teaching assistant for first graders at North School in Londonderry, NH and her recent babysitting position in Purcellville, VA. Brenda's favorite vacation spot was at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, where she could enjoy the outdoors with dear friends from Londonderry, NH. Her friends all say that Brenda lit up the room whenever she was present. Brenda was raised in Morris, Illinois and is a 1975 graduate of Morris Community High School. She will be missed and forever loved by family and friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Robert Haldorson, her parents Robert and Genevieve Haldorson, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Dan Miner of Purcellville, VA, her son Ryan (Molly) Rozich of Austin, TX, her son Logan Miner of Parkersburg, WV, her daughter Natalie Miner who will be attending her first year at the University of Virginia Nursing School in 2013, and her granddaughter Sloane Rozich.
Visitation for friends in Virginia will be on Tuesday, June 11 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at Hall Funeral Home in Purcellville, VA. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at 1:00 pm at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Purcellville, VA. Visitation for family and friends in Illinois will be on Friday, June 14 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm at Reeves Funeral Home in Morris, IL and on June 15 from 2:30 - 4:00 at First Presbyterian Church in Joliet, IL, with funeral services following at 4:00 pm.
