Olive R. Beard, 95, of Martinsburg, passed away early Saturday morning at the Village at Morrison's Cove. She was born December 4, 1918, in Carson Valley the daughter of Levi and Alice (Burkhart) Hoover. Olive married Frank P. Beard who preceded her in death in 1983.
Surviving are three daughters: Kay Fochler; Shirley Javit and husband, John; Nancy Meckley; sons: Francis Gene and wife, Shirley; Bob and wife Donna; Bernie; Leon and wife, Lori; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Don and a daughter, Sharon.
Olive retired from Home Nursing Agency as a Health Aide and formerly worked at Tritex. She was the oldest living member of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren.
Friends will be received one hour, from 10am until the 11:00am funeral service, Tuesday, April 22 at the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, by Pastor Bradley Runkle. Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery.
