Allen E Litwiller, 84, of RR 1, Secor, died at 10:30 am Friday, Nov 23, 2001, at his residence.

Funeral services will be 10 am Monday at the Roanoke Mennonite Church with the Rev Elmer Wyse and the Rev Rick Troyer officiating. Burial will be in the Roanoke Mennonite Church Cemetery Visitation will be from 2-5 pm Sunday at the Knapp-John-son-Harris Funeral Home, Roanoke; and from 9-10 am Monday at the church.

Allen Litwiller Memorials may be made to the OSF Hospice Program or The Trinity Broadcast service.

Mr Litwiller was born Sept 22, 1917, at Hopedale, a son to the Rev Simon and Katie Ehrisman Litwiller.

He married Dorothy Bachman on Dec 31, 1947, in Secor. She died June 26, 1997.

Survivors include two sons, two daughters, a brother, two sisters, Freda and Rachel Litwiller, six grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Esther; and two brothers, Lester and Bill.

Allen was a dairy farmer and agricultural farmer in Secor for most of his life. He also worked at Caterpillar in East Peoria for three years and at Rivinius Inc in Eureka for five years.

He was a member of the Roanoke Mennonite Church where he had acted as song leader and was also involved in the men's quartet.

He and his wife wintered at the Glencroft Retirement Center in Glendale, Ariz, for 25 years. While in Arizona he attended the Trinity Mennonite Church in Glendale. He was also a member of the Woodford County Farm Bureau.
