Linda Ruth Tyler was born December 4, 1945 in Fort Towson, OK, the daughter of James Easterwood and Geneva (Justice) Easterwood and had lived all of her life in the Choctaw/McCurtain County area. Her parents preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie J. Tyler, Sr.; a son, Randy Byrd; a brother, Steve Easterwood; and her step mother, Irene Easterwood.

Linda loved going to church and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and loved flip-flops and fingernail polish. Linda was a longtime member of Corinth Baptist Church, Ft. Towson.

Tyler of Swink, OK, Ben Tyler and wife, Mamie of Montgomery, AL, Ronnie Tyler and wife, Terry of Orangefield, TX., Tommie Tyler of Millerton, OK and Jimmie Tyler, Jr. also of Millerton, OK; daughters: Renee Childers and husband, Kirk of Rattan, OK, LeeJay Eckhardt and husband, George of Webbers Falls, OK and Peggy Tyler of McLoud, OK; brothers and sisters: Jean Batson and husband, Charles of Ft. Towson, James E. Easterwood, Jr. and wife, Anna of Ft. Towson, Gail Beardsley and husband, Larry of Arlington, TX; Roy Gene Easterwood of Granite, OK, Debbie Cody and husband, Bill of Ft. Towson, OK; 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews along with many other relatives and friends.
