Tony married Lynn A. LeMaster on June 15, 2001 in Lafayette and she preceded him in death on May 10, 2007. He was a graduate of Rankin Technical College in St. Louis, MO. He was an auto body technician for all of his working life. He worked at University Motors, Kendrick Body Shop and in the Bob Rohrman Auto Group before retiring in 1998. Tony was the former co-owner and operator of F & S Tree Removal in Lafayette. After retiring he worked as a bartender at the former Monitor Tavern. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Moose Lodge, Sons of the American Legion, and Beta Phi Sigma Fraternity. Tony was a very social person and he enjoyed motorcycle riding, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with family.
Surviving are his children, daughter, Martha Jane Courtney and son, Anthony M. Robinson, Jr. both of Granite City, IL; step-children, Kris Massey and Ed Massey both of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Edward Robinson (wife, Dottie) of Cambridge, OH and John Robinson (wife Phyllis) of Bunker Hill, IL and a sister, Dorinda Kueberth (husband, Jack) of Lafayette; and his special companion, Charlotte Paugh of West Lafayette. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Destini and Kellie Courtney, Connor and Emma Massey, and Ethan Frizzle, two great-grandchildren, Tyler and McKinley, seven nieces and nephews, and his loyal dog, Daisy.
