Carol G. Remley, 67, of Rockton, Ill., passed away Oct. 6, 2013, at her home in Rockton, Ill.
Carol was born April 22, 1946, in Bloomsburg, daughter of the late John Raymond "Jerry" and Blanche (Linn) Gross of Bloomsburg.
Carol attended Bloomsburg Jr./ Sr. High School. She married Michael H. Remley of Bloomsburg on Aug. 29, 1964.
Carol enjoyed working with the public and the service industries. She was in the food service industry for many years, working as a manager for Arby's Roast Beef in NW Indiana. She was a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant for 11 years. She formed and managed her own Home-Health Care Agency for many years in Crown Point, Ind. Over the past 10 years, Carol worked for a Home Health Care Agency in Rockford, Ill., caring for many clients.
Carol is survived by her husband of 49 years, Michael H. Remley; son, Jeffery W. (Cindy) Remley of Indianapolis, Ind.; daughter Heather R. (Timothy) Wilson (Remley) of Belvidere, Ill.; grandchildren: Maxwell, Fletcher and George Remley of Indianapolis, Ind., and Megan M. Wilson of Belvidere, Ill.
Carol is predeceased by her parents: John Raymond and Blanche Gross of Bloomsburg, and her brother, George Gross of Hanover, Pa.
Graveside services will be held at the Rosemont Cemetery on Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg, on April 22, 2014, at noon. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Joel Stauffer. Rev. Stauffer and his wife, Pam, were high school classmates and high school friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church for a lunch served directly after the service.
