TWO MORE NASHUA VETS ARRIVE HERE FOR BURIAL

Bodies of two more of Nashua's World War II heroes dead, Sgt. Leo P. Desjardins, US Army Air Force and EM 3-c Allan G. Nute, were reported to have arrived in San Francisco, Calif., yesterday aboard the Army Transport Honda Knot.

Sgt. Desjardins, an aerial gunner and son of Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Desjardins of 6 D st, was killed as a result of an airplane crash near Fortaleza, Brazil, Feb. 28, 1944, at the age of 20.

He was born in Nashua, Sept. 15, 1923 and was graduated from Nashua High school in 1941. Until he entered the Armed Forces, he was employed at the J.F. McElwain company.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Desjardins, two brothers, Ralph and Raymond Desjardins, both of this city, two sisters, Mrs. Viateur Tremblay and Miss Margaret Desjardins, both of Nashua; his grandmother, Mrs. David Desjardins of Canada, several aunts and uncles.

Electrican's Mate Third Class Nute, son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Nute of East Dunstable rd, was killed aboard the USS Barnegat, airplane tender, off Galapagos Islands in the Pacific, Oct. 26, 1945, at the age of 20.

He was born in Nashua Sept. 26, 1925 and entered the service prior to graduating with the Nashua High school class of 1944. The family received his High school diploma that June.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nute; a twin sister, Miss Alice G. Nute, and sisters Miss Marion Nute and Mrs. Edward Colburn, all of this city, a half-sister, Mrs. Peter Constantine of Milford, a half-brother, Rowe Kimball, US Army, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Davis funeral home will have charge of arrangements. The service will probably be held in the Main st Methodist church.
