Francis Eggener, 75, of 1103 Hawthorne St., Two Rivers, died Tuesday morning at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels and at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Michael Koch will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mr. Eggener was born April 12, 1898, at Marinette, son of the late Joseph William and Virginia Lezotte Eggener. He married Mildred Rau Feb. 7, 1922, residing at Two Rivers. He was an express messenger for the Chicago North Western Railroad and a member of the Two Rivers Eagles Club.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters (survivors omitted for privacy); two brothers, Lawrence and Howard, of Marinette; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Olson, of Lincolnwood, Ill., and Mrs. John Miller, of Marinette, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, where the Eagles will meet in a body at 7:30 p.m. and a family memorial service will be held at 8 p.m.

MARRIAGE OF FRANCIS/MILDRED EGGENER

Miss Mildred E. Rau and Mr. Francis A. Eggener were united in matrimony at St. Luke's Church at 8:00 Tuesday morning, Rev. Father Pritzl officiating. The couple were attended by Miss Olive Eggener and Gerald Rau and Miss Julia Niquette and Gordon Lindquist.

After the ceremony, a wedding dinner for thirty was served at the bride's home and at two-thirty the couple left for a short honeymoon. They will return this week and take up their residence at the home of the bride's parents at 1510 Jefferson St.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rau. She is a popular young lady, a graduate of the local high school. Previous to her wedding, she was employed at Schultz's Fuel Office. Mr. Eggener is the son of Capt. Eggener of Marinette. He is employed as an express messenger on the route between Chicago and Two Rivers. Out of town guests were Olive Eggener of Marinette, Gordon Lindquist of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. F. McKnight of Milwaukee, Mrs. Coats and Miss Torrison and Mr. Al Huggert of Manitowoc.
