Tholer M. Boyette, age 92, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, April 13. Mrs. Boyette was a native of Jenkins and Candler County, but lived in Evans County most of her life as a homemaker and a seamstress. She was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Claxton. Mrs. Boyette was a loving mother and precious grandmother. She enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers and listening to her favorite country and western, gospel, and bluegrass music. She enjoyed fishing and trips to the mountains and to the beach. Most important to her was time spent with family and friends. She was always eager to help her neighbors, friends and loved ones in a time of need. She left behind loving memories which will forever be etched in the hearts of her family and friends.

Mrs. Boyette was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Eli Boyette; an infant son, Lester Calloway; three brothers, Marvin, Evans, and HC Miles; two sisters, Eldra Faircloth and Bessie McCullough.

She is survived by four sons and two daughters, R.D. (Connie) Calloway, Fay (Don) Oliver, Delores (Chubby R. Driggers) Boyette, Lonnie (Patricia Reese) Boyette, Roger Boyette, and Marty (Pam Jackson) Boyette; eight grandchildren, Dan Calloway, Tina (Bruce) Dailey, Donna (Pete) Roussin, Suzette (Harold Stapleton) Allen, Brian (Sue) Oliver, Faith Beckworth, and Kevin and Brandon Boyette; six great grandchildren, Farrah Calloway, Jared Dailey, Mandi Allen, Victoria and Mark Roussin, and Azare Boyette; one great great grandson, Ashton Smith; several nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Lorene and Eunice Miles; special family friends, Lori (Bill) Kicklighter, Pam Rogers and Dana Brown.

Visitation will be at NeSmith Funeral Home in Claxton, on Tuesday, April 15, from 5-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, at 2 p.m. at NeSmith Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Walker and C.B. Waters, officiating. Internment will follow at Old Anderson Primitive Baptist Church cemetery in Tattnall County.
