Born Oct. 5, 1914, in Hartford, Conn., Mr. Andrews came to Greenville in 1957 and retired as general manager of Hartford Machine Screw Co. He then was owner of Andrews Pool and Irrigation, and was a member of Christ Church.
Surviving are his daughters, Nancy and Hugh Murphy of Niskyuna, N.Y., and Elizabeth and Alvin Gilreath of Travelers Rest; son, Allen R. Andrews Jr. of Travelers Rest; sister, Edna West of Connecticut; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was previously married to Kit Andrews of Travelers Rest.
Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at 4 Paris View Drive, Travelers Rest, SC 29690.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or charity of one's choice.
The Howze Mortuary, Travelers Rest, is in charge of arrangements.
