DEATH - Mr. Samuel C. Ives, for many years a resident of this city, died on Saturday, after a short illness. The Odd Fellows of Cleveland Lodge and other societies of which he was a member attended his funeral on Sunday.
NOTE: Death record states cause of death as inflamed liver. Body was removed to Woodland Cemetery, July 23, 1867, from Erie Street Cemetery. The records of Woodland Cemetery indicate he was moved again on October 15, 1910, to New York, New York, along with the remains of his wife Eliza and their infant daughter Frances.
