17 Oct 1942: Mrs. Edna M. Tallman (nee Ditzler), passed away on Thursday while in an iron lung. She was stricken while riding a bus, and was taken from the bus, and transported to the hospital in a private car, accompanied by Mrs. W. S. Darcas. She was aged 54 years, and was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. Aside from her son, Lt. Tallman, she leaves two sisters, and two brothers as follows: Gertrude Ditzler of Lickdale; Mrs. Jennie Adams of Pine Grove; Robert Ditzler of Reading; and Marshall Ditzler of Lickdale. Interment to be made in Sattazahn Lutheran Cemetery. [Lebanon Daily News]
