Randy Scott Hall, first born and only son of Hayden & Judith Hall, was born on May 3, 1967 at Northwoods Hospital in Phelps, Wisconsin. A healthy, bouncing baby boy, weighing in at 7# 13 oz. and 20 1/2 in. long, he was truly a blessing from God. He was the first born grand child of William and Gladys Spargo and the first and only nephew of Roger Lee Spargo, Judy's family. Randy's paternal grandparents were Hayden & June Hall. Though he was not their first grand child he was just as loved as if he were. Randy was blessed to have several aunts & uncles from Hayden's family. Uncles David, Zachary & John, Aunts Carol, Adeline, Ellen, Lillian, Anna, Ruth and numerous cousins. Three and a half years later, Randy became a big brother to his little sister Eva. Unlike many siblings, they developed a lasting bond and were the best of friends. In his childhood years Randy and Eva were actively involved with AWANA at church and as teenagers with the Church Youth Group at Land O' Lakes Bible Church. We always enjoyed all of the youth group coming to our home. After an invigorating afternoon of skiing, sledding or other activities, they would be ready for pizza, hot chocolate, video games and just having a good time of fun and fellowship. Those are precious and treasured memories for us. Randy grew up and attended school in Watersmeet, Mi., graduating in 1985. He then moved to Stevens Point, Wi. where he was employed as a machinist at Woodward Governor Co. making parts for airplanes, etc. He returned to Watersmeet in 1991 and worked with carpentry jobs--later being employed at Frontier Builder's in the construction of log homes. Becoming increasingly interested in log constructed homes he eventually began his own business and soon had a reputation of his gifted abilities. His unique ideas and talent were also evident in the furniture and decorative detailing of hand railings etc. While working at Frontier Builder's he met Anita Freeman who was a secretary/receptionist and five years later on May 16, 2002 they were married at Sandal's Resort in Jamaica where they honeymooned for a week. Anita had previously been married and had three teenage children. Her oldest son Jason despised the fact that he had a step father and did everything in his power to make things miserable for Randy. To make a very long and sad story short, it was at the drunken rage of Jason, then 21, that Randy was savagely beaten to death. To not have any justice in our son's murder has been heart breaking for our whole family. I was so naive before all of this happened, truly believing in our court system and the judgment of the jury to make the right decision. But because of lies and detrimental statements that were fabricated, Jason walked away a free agent, not even any probation. No justice for Randy! But, since we are a Christian family, we have that blessed assurance that truly in the end, "Everything is going to be alright." God will be the final Judge and Jury, that day we will have justice for our beloved son Randy. Randy was preceded in death by his Uncle David and Uncle Roger in 2000, his grandfather William "Bill" in 1979, his grandfather Hayden in 1974 and grandmother June in 1994. Wandersee Funeral Home of Bruce Crossing, Mi. was in charge of arrangements and assisted the family during this time. Funeral services for Randy were held at the Watersmeet Baptist Church on October 30, 2003 with the Rev. Skip Pullen officiating. Visitation for family and friends was at 12:30 p.m. with the service following at 2:00 p.m. A wonderful luncheon was provided by church family and numerous friends. Burial was in the Hall family plot at the Watersmeet Cemetery in Watersmeet, Mi. In Loving Memory of Randy Scott Hall May 3, 1967 Oct. 25, 2003
Time passes by so quickly It's already been three years, We frequently visit your grave side Some days there are still many tears.
But we have that Blessed assurance God cares for His own day and night, Some time in the end, when we all meet again Then, "Everything's going to be alright".
Loving and missing you forever, Mom,Dad,& Eva
In Memory of My Brother
As I write this in memory of you, Randy, I am looking at the moonlit autumn leaves. Beautiful. It makes me realize how precious this life truly is, or at least should be. And I will never think of ours together as anything but. Of course you know how much I miss you. All of your true family and friends do. We all have wonderful memories of us together, and no one can take those away. It has been a year since I have seen you smile, talked to you, and heard your life-loving laugh. It will always be in my heart. Sometimes it seems like many sunrises and sunsets ago since we were sitting next to each other. Other times it seems like yesterday. I will thank you for that, because you are always talking to me, giving me visions, and advice. You are not gone Randy. In fact, You are more alive than any one of us here. I want to thank you for being the best brother I could ever ask for. We had some awesome times together that I will share throughout my future days. I can hear you say the words from "Bob Marley", "Little Sister, don't shed no tears", and I know that "everything's gonna be alright". Until we are together again, dear brother, thank you for letting me hear the eagles fly.
All My Love, Eva ~2004~
Fly like An Eagle
As the lonely eagle flies into the winds On majestic...soaring...gliding wings A single scream comes from the sky Come fly with me...come here and fly is the eagles cry My heart yearns to be a part As I feel the beating of its heart Oh for my soul to be one with this bird flying so carefree Flying so pefectly in the sky for all to see. His wings in the wind as it caress's his soul And soars across the streams without a goal My being trembles with delight of such a sight A treasure I received from God tonight A gift like no other watching him soaring so high Inviting me to join him and fly fly fly. ~~~ Dona de Santiago~~
RANDY, WE WILL ALWAYS BE PRAYING FOR THE JUSTICE THAT WAS DENIED YOU AND FOR ALL OTHERS WHERE JUSTICE WAS DENIED.
