Emily Weeks, age 71 of Irving, died on April 10, 2014. She was born in Abilene, Texas on September 1, 1942 to Ambrose David Meeks and Leafie Brown Meeks and went on to enjoy a career as a Registered Nurse. Emily is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters and will be greatly missed by her beloved husband David Weeks; her son Steven Weeks and brother Alvin Cavaness. A graveside funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2014.
