Death of Mrs. Robins.
Oldest Resident of Lewiston Passes Away Yesterday Morning.
At 9 o'clock yesterday morning occurred the passing away of an old resident of Lewiston, Mrs. I. N. Robins, at her home at 113 Delsol Lane. The immediate cause of death was a paralytic stroke, but she had been an invalid for five years from a previous stroke.
Mrs. Robins was in the seventy-second year of her age. She had lived in Lewiston for 19 years, coming here from Kansas. She was a native of North Carolina, but moved to Iowa when ten years of age. Her first marriage was to Mr. Downs and her second was to Mr. Robins, in 1883.
She was a member of the United Bretheren church, before coming to Lewiston, and has here been a member of the Methodist church, having been a church member, in all, for forty years. She leaves five children by her first marriage: Mrs. Frances Day, of Peola, Kansas; Mrs. Rosa Stucker, of Selma, Kansas; Mrs. P. A. Briggle, of Spokane, Wash.; Chas. Downs, of Lapwai; and Jess Downs of Lewiston.
The funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, at the Vassar chapel, to which place the remains were taken yesterday. The deceased will be remembered by many friends for her many graces of mind and heart.
