Beth Carver Nelson passed away April 11, 2014 at the age of 74. Beth C. Nelson was born August 20, 1939, in Ogden, Utah to Lawrence Josiah and Gladys Lucille Woodfield Carver.

Beth attended Plain City Elementary, Wahlquist Junior High, was a proud member of Weber High School graduating Class of 1957, and graduated from Stevens-Henager Business College.

Beth was engaged to Cayley Roy Nelson, Cayley was called to the New Zealand South Mission in 1959 and Beth was called to serve a mission to the East Central States in 1960. Upon returning from their missions, they were married in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple on September 14, 1962. Cayley passed away on September 2, 2013. They were married for almost 51 years.

Their children are Cayley Troy Nelson of West Valley City, Julie and Clyde Wilson of South Ogden, and Megan and Tom Evans of South Ogden. Their grandchildren are Jake C Wilson, Dallas Thomas Evans, Aubree Cayley Evans, Camrie Brailey Evans, and Baker Troy Evans, all of South Ogden.

Beth worked in the banking and accounting industry but her most loved and cherished job was that of wife, mother, and grandmother.

Beth served in many church calling in the Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women's organizations in the stake and ward levels. She and Cayley taught a Missionary Preparation class for 5 years, was a guide at the Ogden Temple Visitor Center for 4 years, and worked as the switch board operator in the Ogden Temple.

Beth loved the Festival of Trees organization and was an Alumni Board Member. Due to her support and contributions to this great organization many dollars were raised for the Primary's Children's Hospital. Beth was actively involved in the Daughter's of the Utah Pioneers and held many positions. Her hobbies included quilting, reading, and traveling.

Beth is survived by her children, grandchildren, her bother Larry C. Carver of Plain City, Elaine Christensen of North Ogden, Nancy Kendell of North Ogden, Janet and Jay Gibson of Washington Terrace, and many nieces and nephews who she loved like her own.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, her "Miracle" Cayley, and brother-in-law Barry Christensen.

The family would like to thank Dr Carl Gray and his wonderful staff for the personal care given. Thank you to Kyle and Brittney for your loving care.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Pleasant Valley Stake Center 5640 South 850 East, South Ogden. A viewing will be held on Wednesday 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd and prior to services from 10:00-10:45 am at the church.
