SHEPHERD, FAYETTE R., 70, of Spring Hill, died Thursday (Dec. 26, 1996) at Columbia Regional Medical Center at Oak Hill. Born in Letcher, Ky., he came here 28 years ago from St. Clair Shores, Mich. He was a retired enforcement supervisor for the Southwest Florida Water Management District and attended Hernando Beach Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mary; a son, J. W. Martin, Tampa; two daughters, M. J. Cohan, San Diego, and D. Shepherd , Tampa; two sisters, M. L. Copeland, Spring Hill, and E. Breeding, Madison, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
