Dec.11 1863 He enlisted in the Confederate Volunteers in Paris,Tenn.at the age of 24.Later went into the 12th.Kentucky Cavalry and involved in more than 40 hostile exchanges in Mississippi ,Alabama,Kentucky and Tennessee. Some were the (Sherman's Meridian Campaign) and the (Forest's Operations )in Tenn.
On April 26 2008 at 2:00 p.m. He was Honored with a Civil War Marker.
