Carl D. Hockenbury, 75, of Readington Township, N.J., died Friday, December 23, 2005, in Overlook Hospital, Summit, N.J.
Born: June 29, 1930 In Mount Airy, N.J., he was a son of the late Levi and Myrtie Parkes Hockenbury.
Personal: He was an animal specialist with Merck & Co., Branchburg, N.J. until he retired in 1993. Prior to that, he was a dairy farmer for many years, and was a DHIA milk tester.
He graduated in 1948 from Flemington High School, Flemington, NJ.
He and his wife, Anna-Marie Hoser Hockenbury, were married for fifty-two years.
Memberships: He was a member of the Hunterdon County and State Holstein Association for many years. He was formerly a volunteer with the Somerset County 4-H Club. He was the Past Master of Riverside Grange, Three Bridges, N.J.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carla Hockenbury, of Vineland, N.J., and Caren Lloyd, of Flemington, N.J.; two sons, Craig Hockenbury, of Union, N.J., and Clark Hockenbury, of Hopedale, Mass.; a sister, Nancy Ringer, of Flemington, N.J.; a brother, Irvin Hockenbury, of Raritan Township, N.J., and six grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Thursday in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, N.J. Call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's Corner, N.J.
