Harry R. Colvin, age 73 of 336 W. 37th street died at 11:40PM Sunday at his home. He had been in failing health for several months.

Mr. Colvin was born near Lexington in Fayette County, Kentucky on May 31, 1887. He was the son of Beverly Minor Jr. and Eudora (Rigg) Colvin. His wife Pearl, died in 1954.

Mr. Colvin had resided in Anderson since 1929 coming here from North Vernon. He retired in 1953 after 44 years service with the NY Central Railroad as a conductor. He was a member of the Lapel Masonic Lodge No 625, the brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and the Order of Railway Conductors & Brakemen.

Surviving are a grandson, who made his home with his grandfather. A daughter Mrs. Martha (Oren) Schinlaub, three grandchildren, a great grandson, four sisters:

Mrs. Anna Jackson, Henderson, Ky
Mrs. Ina Jones, Lexington, Ky
Mrs. C.G. Vollker, Los Angeles California.
As well as several nephews and neices.
