Lois Arnoult Bienvenu, affectionately known as Gams, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the age of 89. She died peacefully at home.

Lois is survived by her three loving children, Spencer Bienvenu, Brian Bienvenu (Sara) and Kathie Sanborn; grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica and Jordan Sanborn, Joseph, Clare (Gabriele DeSantis), Luke and Samuel Bienvenu; one adored great grandson, Vittorio DeSantis; grandchildren through marriage, Kenny Barnes, Missy Ball, Bonnie Hebert and Laurie McElroy, and their children; and her sister, Hazel Roy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer A. Bienvenu, Sr.; stepdaughter, Adele Barnes; parents, Duncan and Cora D. Arnoult; and six sisters and one brother.

Lois lived life to the fullest, and enjoyed being with her family. She will be fondly remembered in our hearts forever.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery
