In 1922 she married John Eccles of Kearny, New Jersey and together they had three children - John, Mary Elizabeth, and William.
In 1929 tragedy struck when her husband was killed in a car accident, leaving her to raise their young children during the Great Depression. Through the support of her parents, sister Esther and her husband Cecil Burns, Alice was able to make ends meet.
In 1936 she married Frank Joseph Beesley and became stepmother of Frank Jr. and Walter Beesley.
She lived in Kearny the rest of her life and worked as a saleslady at McCrory's in Newark.
She was living with her daughter Mary when she suffered a massive heart attack and passed away at the age of 60.
She had eleven grandchildren who remember her lovingly.
