Johnny B. Reid, 80, of Del Valle, TX, passed away January 8, 2014 at his home. Visitation will be held at Cook Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd. in Austin, TX on January 12, 2014 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. The funeral services will be held at Great Hills Baptist Church on January 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Harold E. O'Chester. The burial will follow at Cook Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery.

Johnny was born in Cedar Creek, TX to J. B. and Lou Vellor Reid on February 1, 1933. He went to Bastrop High School and graduated in 1952.

After his graduation, he worked for 28 years as a printer at the Texas Department of Public Safety in Austin, TX. He was a member of Great Hills Baptist Church.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents J. B. and Lou Vellor; daughters Judith Ann Reid and Jerri Lynn Reid Wilbanks; brother, Donald Reid, and sisters Bennye Lou Moran and Ann Richards.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lou Ann Reid, of 57 years; daughters Cynthia Ann Reid Harlow and Suzanne Renee Reid; son-in-law, Greg Harlow and granddaughter, Lindsey Michelle Harlow; sisters Billie Robinson, Theo Gray and Mary Lucy Stephens; brother Jimmy Reid
