Amelia "Emily" Brick was born on 11 Apr 1857, to Peter Brick and Catherine Kaiser Brick. She was baptized at St. Agatha's Catholic Church in Wilmot, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada on 19 Apr 1857.
She moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota with her family in 1876. On 18 Apr 1882 she married John Wimmer in St. Cloud, Minnesota. They lived in Perham, where John was a saloon keeper. In about 1884, they moved to St. Cloud when John Wimmer purchased half interest in a brewery previously owned by Emily's brother, John.
Emily's husband died suddenly in 1898. They had nine children, seven of whom were living in 1900. In 1902, Emily married Michael Denis. They lived in Little Falls, Minnesota. After 1910, they moved to Paradise, Montana, where two of her daughters were married and one died. Before 1918, they moved to Washington, where she lived until her death on 03 May 1924, in Spokane.
