Helen Schadler, 80, of St. Joseph died today at Lakeland Medical Center, Berrien Center.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kerley & Starks Funeral Home, St. Joseph, where visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to the Berrien County Greek Orthodox Church, New Buffalo, of which she was a member.
Mrs. Schadler was born Oct. 15, 1915, in Cicero, Ill. She formerly was a sales clerk at Grace B. Pauley, St. Joseph, and Rimes, St. Joseph. She retired in 1980 as a clerk from the treasure's office, Berrien County Courthouse.
Survivors include: two sons -- Bill Schadler of Benton Harbor and Steven Schadler of St. Joseph; one grandchild; three sisters -- Dora Mellios and Mary Ladas, both of Des Plaines, Ill., and Tina Poulas of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in January 1979.
