David Harold Barksdale, age 58, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, April 06, 2014.

Mr. Barksdale was born December 2, 1955 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He graduated from UAMS School of Pharmacy in 1979 and was employed with Eli Lilly and Co. for twenty eight years. During his career he held various positions in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing. He was a Christian and attended Walnut Church of Christ. He was a member of the Deceipher Hunting Club.

He is survived by his wife: Sandy Barksdale of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter: Whitney Barksdale of Grapevine, Texas; one granddaughter: Peyton Belew of Grapevine, Texas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Hazel Hawkins of Mandeville, Louisiana; Judy and Wendell Plyler of Benton, Arkansas; Kathy and Gary Clark of Hope, Arkansas; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Tuesday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Cannon officiating. Graveside services will be 5:00 P. M. Tuesday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
