Ann Vallandingham, age 93, of Shawnee, passed away April 5, 2014, in Shawnee.
She was born to Matthew and Faye (Lewis) Edwards on April 11, 1920 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Ann attended school in Oskaloosa. She married Edward H. Vallandingham in Oskaloosa, Iowa and they later moved to Anchorage, Alaska for 10 years, lived in Atoka and then moved to Tecumseh, living in the area for 30 years.
Ann was a homemaker, who enjoyed giving her all for her family.
Her family and grandchildren meant the world to her. Ann loved crafts, singing in the choir, gardening, and she made the holidays special for all around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward H. Vallandingham in January of 2001; son, Jack L Vallandingham; 2 sisters, Esther Edwards and Elsie Edwards; 4 brothers, Lewis, Tom, Matthew, and Richard Edwards.
Those left to cherish her memory are her 2 daughters, Judy Bolt, and Sally Jett, both of Shawnee; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Karen Vallandingham, Terry and Shelly Vallandingham, and Tim and Pam Vallandingham all from Shawnee; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
