Donna Mayree Browne

October 11, 1026 ~ April 2, 2014

Donna Mayree Browne, 87, peacefully passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 surrounded by her family.

Mom was born at the home of her parents, Mark L. and Lulu C. Jones Parker on October 11, 1926 in Ogden, Utah. She was the fifth of six children, having three brothers Everett, Lynn and Emmett, and two sisters Eileen and Chyrrel. She grew up in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Ogden High School in 1945.

Mom met the love of her life, Dean C. Browne in May of 1946. They were married January 29, 1947and were happily married for 67 years. Mom and Dad welcomed three sons, Clark, Scott and Ted to their family and from that day on their lives centered around their boys. They loved camping, fishing in their little boat and skiing with their extended family. We moved to Bountiful in 1969 because of Dad's job. We spent summers on Flaming Gorge, Yellowstone or Jackson Lake. We have such wonderful memories of those times spent together as a family.

Mom was extremely artistically talented. She was involved in many art mediums including, china painting, ceramics, pottery, doll making, and oil painting. She was a charter member of the Lakeview Chapter of China painters and the World Organization of China Painters established in Utah in 1966. Beside her love of art and traveling, she loved to golf and bowl. She loved all animals, Mother Nature and she loved sharing her garden with anyone. Most of all she loved her family. She retained her child-like quality throughout her life and delighted her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with her whimsical ways.

Mom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mom is survived by our Dad and husband, Dean, sons Clark P. (Gloria) Browne and their family, Craig and Lucille, Dale and Tonya Browne and their children, Trever. Andrea, Kally; Scott M. (Cathy) Browne and their family, Jennifer and Chance, Zack and Kirsta Browne and their children, Natalie, Taylor, Sarah, "AJ" Angela Jane; Nick and Tiffanie Browne and their family, Audrie, Millie, Emie, Lulu; and Ted C. (Toni) Browne and their family Melissa Browne, Landon, Emma, Heidi and Ryan Rich, Charley, Paisley, Karter, Quinley, and Katrina Browne; sister Chyrrel (Finn) Gridley, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
