Mr. Turbett collapsed on the sidewalk near the Central Building at Peoria, Monday, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:40 p.m., Monday, Mar. 19, 1973, by Peoria County Coroner Horace Payton. Payton said death was caused by an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Turbett had lived at the Cass street address for 17 years. He was employed by Caterpillar Tractor company for 32 years, retiring in 1969.
He was born Jan. 20, 1904, at Hanna City, a son of James B. and Edith Clemmer Turbett. He married Edna M. Ballou Aug. 3, 1930, at Bloomington.
Surviving are his wife, a son, Milo Turbett, Jr., of Peoria, a brother, Leroy Turbett of Peoria, a sister, Mrs. Erma Huntley of Bellevue, and one grandchild.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
