RIVERTON, KANSAS: James Allan "Jimmy" Brooks, age 38, died Thursday afternoon, April 3, 2014 at his home.
Jimmy was born Jan. 10, 1976 in Joplin, MO. His parents were Terry L Brooks and Katrina Diane (Hogan) Brooks.
He was a lifetime resident of Riverton.
He graduated from Riverton High School with the Class of 1994.
He had worked as a mill rite at Nelson Engineering, Joplin, MO for several years.
Among his interests was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and going fishing. His greatest pleasure was doing activities with his children.
Surviving is his son, Taylor Grant Brooks, of the home; his daughter, Sydney Danielle Brooks, Baxter Springs, KS; his father, Terry (wife, Debbie) Brooks, Riverton, KS; his mother, Katrina Diane Jones, Boca Raton, FL; one brother, Jeffrey Wayne Brooks, Boca Raton, FL; and one sister, Michelle Marie (husband, Rodney) Evans, Allen, TX.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 7, 2014 at First Assembly of God, Baxter Springs, KS. Pastor Dallas Satterfield and Hayden Sawyer will officiate.
Burial will be in Quaker Valley Cemetery, Riverton, KS.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 pm, Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Assembly of God, Baxter Springs, Kan.
Burial will be in Quaker Valley Cemetery, Riverton.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, Kan.
