Elroy Walter Haese, 67, of rural Reedsville, died unexpectedly Friday,
November 21, 1986 at Mount Sinai Hospital, Milwaukee. Funeral services will
be 2 pm Tuesday at St. John St. James Lutheran church, Reedsville. Rev. Harlyn
Kuschel will officiate and burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Reedsville.
Mr. Haese was born January 20, 1919, in the town of Rockland, son of the late
Albert and Amanda Ebert Haese. he married Ovella Krueger on September 24, 1949
at Zion United Methodist Church, Reedsville. Mr. Haese farmed on the homestead
his entire lifetime. He served in the United States Army from April 21, 1941 to
August 31, 1945. He was a Sergeant and served in overseas duties. Mr. Haese
worked at Aluminum Specialty for four years. He was a member of St. John St.
James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. He served on the Church Council for four
years. Mr. Haese was a member of the American Legion Gosz-Novak Post No. 199
of Reedsville.
Survivors include his wife, Ovella; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Barb
Haese of Route 2, Reedsville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Judy and
Michael Thompson of Milwaukee, jean and Jon Schwalbe of Valders and Debra Haese
of Fort Steward, Georgia; a brother, Clarence Haese of Reedsville; a sister,
Louise Haese of Reedsville and three grandchildren. he was preceded in death
by a sister and a brother.
Friends may call at Wieting Funeral Home, Reedsville, after 4 pm Monday until
10:30 am Tuesday and at the church from 11 am to the time of services.
