Mrs. Fred Ebert, 73, a Maple Grove resident, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at the farm home, Rt. 1, Reedsville, Sunday night. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John and St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reedsville. The Rev. John Wendland officiated. Burial will be at the West Side Church Cemetery.
She was born July 27, 1883 in the Town of Brillion, Calumet County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Engel. On December 18, 1903 she was married to Fred Ebert and the couple settled on the present farm. Her husband preceded her in death in January of this year.
Survivors include two sons, Melvin at home and Raymond of Rt. 2, Brillion; five daughters, Mrs. Edgar Wolf of Rt. 1, Brillion, Mrs. Oscar Herzog of Elkhart Lake, Mrs. Hillmar Grams of Rt. 1, Reedsville and Mrs. Elroy Brandes and Mrs. Ralph Brandes of Rt. 2, Brillion; seven sisters, Mrs. William Kanter of Rt. 1, Reedsville, Mrs. Henry Maas of Appleton, Mrs. Chauncey Greenert and Mrs. Ervin Kroll of Appleton, Mrs. Ed Blackman of Arizona, Mrs. Gene Rienbold and Miss Mae Engel of Milwaukee; 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Four children preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Reedsville Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the time of service.
