Mrs. Anna Brandes, 87, formerly of Reedsville, died early Wednesday morning at Chilton Village Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. John and St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. The Rev. Harlyn Kuschel will officiate and burial will be in West Side Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Brandes, nee Anna Riemer, was born Jan. 30, 1895, in the Town of Rockland, daughter of the late Michael and Rosalina Lau Riemer. She was married to Louis Brandes Jan. 8, 1916, at Reedsville. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1966. Mr. Brandes preceded her in death in 1968.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Elroy and Loraine Brandes of Brillion, Ralph and Georgeana Brandes of Collins, Lester and Betty Brandes of Plymouth and Louis and Jeanette Brandes of Reedsville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Luella and Harry Zachowski of Chilton, Bernice and Herman Zastrow of Menasha and Delores and Lawrence Peik of Reedsville; a daughter-in-law, Clarabelle Brandes of Brillion; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Behnke of Clintonville and Mrs. Harvey (Laura) Meyer of Manitowoc; a brother-in-law, Edward Kieper of Route 2, Reedsville, 29 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two great grandchilden and three step-grandchildren. A daughter, two sons, five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday until 11a.m. Friday and at the church from noon until the time of service.
