JULIUS A. BEHNKE

Julius A. Behnke, 85, a resident of Park Lawn Home, formerly of Reedsville, passed away Monday afternoon, February 18, at Park Lawn Home.Funeral serivces will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John & St. James Lutheran Church. The Rev. Harlyn Kuschel will officiate with burial to follow at West Side Church Cemetery.

Mr. Behnke was born June 6, 1899, in the Town of Grover, Marinette County, son of the late Charles and Bertha Seefeldt Behnke. Mr. Behnke was a retired employee of Brillion Iron Works. He married the former Ruth Fischer on February 2, 1922, in the Town of Rockland.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; a son and daughter-in-law, Lester and Bernice Behnke of Brillion; two daughters and sons-in-law, Florence and Wilbert Denor of Reedsville and Dorothy and Wilmer Rahn of Route 1, Reedsville; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Charles and Lena of Lena, Walter and Mildred of Niagara and Ervin of Brillion; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Elsie and Henry Dassow of Sheboygan Falls, Theresa and Ed Collette of Lakeland, Florida and Mrs. Ida Sterzing of Peshtigo; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren also survived.

He was preceded in death by a son, Merlin in 1961, a sister, Alma Zadicks and three brothers, Henry, Louis and Ted.
