Edward B. Seeds

Edward B. "Ted" Seeds, of 1203 Lincoln ave., Tyrone, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 27, 1984 at 6:55 a.m. at the Tyrone Hospital.

He was born Sept. 10, 1912 at Birmingham, the son of Walter and Jessie Bell Seeds. On April 9, 1943 at Tyrone, he was married to Martha R. Biddle.

He is survived by his wife, one brother and one sister, Robert S. Seeds, of Tyrone, and Mrs. Elizabeth Kiefer, of Wilmington, Del. And three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennie Lee.

He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a member of the American Model Association. He was an avid builder of model airplanes and boats, and his hobby was flying radio-controlled model aircraft. He was recently employed as a chauffeur for Grier School, Birmingham, and had previously been employed at Westvaco for 15 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, serving during World War II in the China-Burma-India Theatre.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home with the Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Grandview Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
