Gladys ''Dolly'' Ray Chidester (affectionately known to her grandchildren as ''Grandma Sam''), age 77, died March 3, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born April 8, 1913 in Salt Lake City to Henry T. and Clara Alder Ray. Married Orson M. Chidester on June 17, 1933 in Salt Lake City and later solemnized in 1952, Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 27, 1979. Gladys loved her family and being a homemaker. She enjoyed doing handwork of all kinds. Member of the LDS Church.

Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Donald K. (Sandra) Woolf of Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Ronnie R. Chidester.

Funeral services on Wednesday, March 6th, at 12 noon, in Sandy, Utah at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, where friends may call the hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
