Mary Anne (LeMasurier) DeCarteret was born on December, 20, 1854 in Saint Ouen, Jersey Channel Islands, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jean and Rachel (DeGruchy) LeMasurier. She was the wife of Mr. John D. DeCarteret, together they had five sons, Mr. John DeCarteret, Mr. Alfred DeCarteret, Mr. Arthur DeCarteret, Mr. Walter DeCaretert, and Mr. Adolphus DeCarteret; they also had two daughters Mrs. Mary B. (DeCarteret) Robers, and Mrs. Ada (DeCarteret) Grindle. After her death her husband, and her seven children left the Channel Islands, and moved to the United States and settled in the Chelmsford, Massachusetts area. In this area her family flourished and she has numerous living decedents in that area to this day.
