Floyd Nelson Cupp, age 88, of Colorado City passed away on April 5, 2014 in an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 9th at 10 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Floyd was born on September 23, 1925 in Henderson County, TX to John Randolph and Mary Alice Cupp. Floyd was a pipeline worker for Fina Oil and Chemical Company. Floyd married Leona Jordan on September 22, 1942 in Winsboro, LA. They shared many blessed years until Leona passed away on July 1, 2013. He was a loving husband, father, and friend; a US Army Veteran; and a member of the Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish Floyd's memory are his daughter; Barbary Nixon of Colorado City; two sons, Randolph Cupp of Dubach, Louisiana and Bobby Cupp of Hemphill, Texas; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Leona Cupp; and his parents John and Mary Cupp.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 8th from 5 – 7 PM at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
