"Ira N. Chapman Dies In Hospital. Ira Nichols Chapman, 74, passed away at a local hospital Sunday at 7:50 p.m., after months.
Mr. Chapman, whose home was at 1210 Thurston street. His wife, Mrs. Florence E. Chapman, preceeded [preceded] him in death on Sept. 12, 1951.
Until recently he had been a special instructor for the VA in connection with the Kansas State College.
He was a member of the Methodist church and the Masonic lodge.
Survivors include one brother, Charles Chapman of Chanute, a sister, Mrs. Mary Badger, Milford, Kan., and a nephew, E. M. Chapman, Keats.
Arrangements for the funeral services have not been completed."
