John Klinger, former resident of Lodi, passed away in Sacramento yesterday morning from injuries received Sunday evening November 15, when he slipped and fell from a housestep. He was born in South Russia and was 67 years of age.
The deceased was engaged in the grocery business in Lodi for about seven years. He disposed of his business eight years ago and moved to Elk Grove where he made his home until the time of his death.
He was the husband of Mrs. Julia Klinger, Elk Grove; father of Mrs. Pauline Wagenmann, John J. Klinger Jr., Fred Klinger and Edward Klinger, all of Lodi; Mrs. Lydia Kuntz, Mrs. Katie Wagner, Mrs. Alvina Garner, Oakland; Mrs. Adeline Campo, Sacramento; Albert Klinger, Oregon City, Oregon; Richard Klinger, Elk Grove and Mrs. Esther Noed, San Francisco. He was the stepfather of Gustave Neilson, Oregon City, Oregon. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren.
