Rollo was married twice and his second wife bore two daughters before his untimely death. He and his siblings appear in the 1910 U.S. Census for Grand Rapids, Kent, MI. According to his 9 Sep 1918 WWI draft registration (providing his full name and birth date), Rollo was a traveling musician and permanently resided in Chicago. New Mexico Deaths, 1889-1945 identifies Edith Crawford as his surviving spouse.

On 22 Jul 1920 in Chicago (Illinois, Cook County Marriages, 1871-1920), Rollo married Mabel Schrepfer b. 15 Feb 1894, d. 27 Feb 1921 in Enaville, Vandenburgh, IN, US (Indiana Death Certificates, 1899-2011- the handwritten original provides correct dates, places and death due to a number of illnesses).

After Mabel's death Rollo married Edith E. Crawford, and their two children were:

Edith remarried twice and her children were rasied in the family of her third husband Donald E. Brown b. 1912, d. 1994 (F-A-G #6354051).

Provided by Rollo's Great-Niece: Rollo, born 1898, started his professional musical career at age 9 as a solo baritone horn player. He travelled with the band of the Ringling Bros., Barnum and Bailey Circus. Later, he formed a vaudeville group. He married Edith Crawford, a professional singer. They had 2 daughters, Dorothy and Betty. He became seriously ill with tuberculosis and died in a TB sanitarium in Albuquerque, New Mexico. During his hospital period he wrote many original pieces of music, arranging them for band without benefit of any musical instruments to aid him in the composition. He died in 1927 at the age of 29.
