Clifford "A.C." Self, 88, of Fairfield died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.
He was born in Hartford, Tenn., on May 12, 1925, the oldest son of Charles Walter Self and Ada Clark Self. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 40 years, Patricia Topping Self.
He is survived by two daughters, Lois Peterson and Evelyn Johnson; one stepdaughter, Judy Knick; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Harrison Funeral Home on Friday, March 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. A graveside service will be at Fairfield Cemetery, at 4 p.m., Saturday, March 29.
