Johnny Francis Fields, age 58, was called to the Lord in Oklahoma City on Friday, March 28, 2014. Born October 15, 1955 in Oklahoma City, to James and Mary Fields, he attended and graduated from Classen High School in May 1974. Johnny later graduated from Wayland Baptist University in June of 2001.
Johnny served in the United States Air Force until July 2001, attaining the rank of E-8 Senior Master Sergeant, retiring from active duty after 22 years of service.
Johnny was preceded in death by his mother Mary in 1995, his father James in 2001, and his sister Theresa Luster in 2012.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years Josie, his sons, Airman Johnny, Jr. and wife Irish Lynn of Spokane, Washington, and Eric Laudermilk of Oklahoma City, his grandson, Johnny III, his sister, Jeanetta Redden of San Antonio, TX and his brother, Jimmy of Ft. Worth, TX. He is also survived by countless nieces and nephews around Oklahoma and Texas.
Services will be held Friday, April 4, 2014, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Johnny will be laid to rest at Resthaven. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the viewing Thursday, April 3, between the hours of 6 pm and 9 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcome at Communications Federal Credit Union, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for the college fund of Johnny Francis Fields III.
