On March 12, 1921 she was united in marriage to Paul Travis, and to this union was born five children, namely, Dale, Dick, Loraine, Yvonne and Pauline, who with their father mourn the loss of this kind and loving wife and mother. She will be greatly missed, for she was ever kind and thoughtful of all that was with her, and her friends were many. Three sisters and two brothers also survive, Andrew and Sam Petersen of Brayton, Nebraska, Mrs. Hans Morrison and Mrs. Oscar Petersen of Grand Island, and Mrs. Paul Hansen of Palmer, as also many other relatives and friends. One brother, and her father and mother, preceded her in death a few years ago.
Dora, as she was known to her dear ones and friends, was taken seriously ill October 8th, and after submitting to surgery, with blood transfusion, rallied three weeks, when pneumonia complications caused her death. This mother, so needed here, has been taken to prepare another home in a Better Land. Her loving influence will linger on, and although she is away, the love she gave her family and home remains. The new home she is now preparing will be a guiding star for her loved ones. Services were held Saturday afternoon November 5, at the Hutchison and Mers Funeral Home and Burial was in the Marysville cemetery. Mr. Wayne Francs and Mrs. John Busboom of Omaha, brother and sister of Mr. Francs were present at the Funeral.
