He was born February 27, 1955 in Clearfield, son of the late Steve and Marian Rachocki Chicola. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School. He was a former employee of Industrial Steel.
Mr. Chicola served in the Army Reserves, enjoyed westerns, road hunting, cooking, swimming, enjoyed his guns and repairing guns and cars, woodworking, loved his dog Rascal, and enjoyed being with his family.
On May 15, 2005, in Decker's Chapel, he married Nancy A. Krise. He was formerly married to Anita Belleau and she blessed him with three children, Jason Chicola of Kersey, Alicia Chicola of Kersey, and Martin Chicola of Kersey; three grandchildren, Jalen Chicola of Kersey; Braeden Chicola, and Elijah Chicola; a stepson, Russell R. Ehrensberger of Kersey; two sisters, Marcia Smith (David) of Weedville and Veronica Richards of St. Marys; and three brothers, John V. Chicola (Nancy) of Byrnedale, Steve Chicola (Veronica) of St. Marys, and Joseph Chicola (Linda) of St. Marys.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Danielle Huff and a stepson, Matt Martini.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Gregory L. Chicola to be held in the Kersey United Methodist Church on Friday, April 19, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lance Tucker officiating. There will be no visitation. Donations, if desired, can be made to the family.
