Mary Margaret Hoffman, 91, of Eureka, formerly of Morton, passed away at 8:25 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, at Maple Lawn Health Center in Eureka.
She was born Oct. 29, 1922, in Hopedale to August and Charlotte Connett Imig. She married Alvin L. Hoffman Sept. 4, 1949, in Hopedale. He preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1992.
She also was preceded in death by one brother.
Surviving are one daughter, Bonnie C. Smith; two sons, Dennis A. (Sandy) Hoffman and Stephen A. (Kathryn) Hoffman; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one sister, Iola Onken.
A homemaker, Mary Margaret was a charter member of Morton United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, with Pastor Doane Brubaker officiating. Visitation will be from noon until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maple Lawn Health Center, 700 N. Main St., Eureka, IL 61530.
