Hugh Blackburn
Hugh B. Blackburn, 88, of Keosauqua, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 1988, at the the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 24, 1899, in Henry Township, Van Buren County, he was the son of Walter and Tensa Cox Blackburn. He married Leona P. Linn. She died in 1967. He later married Lucy Morrison Blackburn. She died in 1974.
He was a farmer southeast of Keosauqua. He had resided the past eight eight years at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center. He was a member of the Center Chapel United Methodist Church and was a founding member of the Mount Pleasant Old Threshers Association.
Surviving are on one, Robert Blackburn, Keosauqua and four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
The service for Mr. Blackburn was 10:30 a.m. today at the Pedrick Funeral Home. Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Center Chapel cemetery.
Memorials have been established for the Center Chapel Cemetery and the Van Buren County Hospital.
